A time to reflect and importantly, a time to look forward !
Festive Greetings
Looking back at 2019, it has been a fantastic year, in fact one of the best in the last 5 years - working with some existing clients, some of whom have utilised my services for over 10 years - such great relationships.
Why such a great year - because as a service provider, I have been focussing on client needs and wants, delivering great results and carrying out the activity that is needed to deliver work.
It has also been a great year for meeting some new clients and working on some really interesting projects, such as the High Performance Management & Leadership programme within Law and the business development focussed Developing Client Relationships programme within construction.
This year, I have worked within a host of industries, including Water Utilities, Law, Finance & Banking, Asbestos Removal, Pharmaceutical, IT, Manufacturing and so much more.
What does 2020 hold :
- New website will launch in Q1 - which will really add benefit to assist clients and prospective clients.
- Industry sector wise, there seems a real push within Law and associated professional services. I am looking forward to being a guest speaker and running a workshop for the Law Management Society in May.
- Apprenticeships - having the ability to deliver Apprenticeships Levels 3-5 within both Sales and Management/Leadership has really expanded the offering for all clients, especially those looking to access/utilise their Levy.
Businesses and business leaders are telling me that the 'feel' for next year, following a year of unknowns, twists and turns, seems to be back to focussing on sales and driving performance. Also a focus on delivering results through developing their management teams and supporting growth through periods of change.

High Performance Management & Coaching programme
We have invested in a new management training and coaching programme, calling in Karl Morris to lead and deliver this year long project.
We wanted a tailored training project, and it is a significant investment of time and resource. Around 35 of our management team, including the owners of the business are involved. It goes along-side a wider modernisation of our HR capability and systems, which includes a big investment in technology and processes.
Karl had already done some training with our HR team. The management programme has been very positive for our business, and those who benefited from it have gained a lot in a short time. This is because of Karl’s wide experience and real-world knowledge.
Karl is just very good at what he does. Karl and his team will be working with our business in the future.
The critical difference for us with KRL was the complete bespoke of our programme to a brief, and the link to the other changes that we are making in the business, all of which are designed to improve the employee experience working in the business, and also the customer journey. People are the key to the success of a professional services business – the people who work for the company and the clients who use our services.
The wider sector and general business experience of the team from KRL has given us a confidence boost. This has come from the time KRL took to understand the business to design the programme for us.
The senior team has been given a programme to complete consisting of a mixture of group modules (three, two-day workshops), and one-to-one coaching sessions.
