News and Announcements
REMEMBERING THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2001
On Monday, we remember those who lost their lives 22 years ago.
Thank you, Mr. Landis, for continuing to teach our students about this event so we will never forget it. The video below is from 2019, where Walnut High School clubs have unified since 2011 to place American flags on the front lawn of Walnut High School, with each flag representing a lost life on 9/11/2001.
Mr. Landis and Ms. Takahashi's ADP class placed the flags in front of our school today for our community to view as they drive by. The flags will be placed out in front of our school all weekend and all day Monday. #NeverForget

Please Lock Your Bikes Up!
We want to ensure the safety and security of your bicycles while they are on our school campus.
Why Locking Up Matters:
Bicycles left unsecured can be vulnerable to theft, especially after-school hours. To prevent such incidents and protect your investment, please use a sturdy lock whenever you park your bike on campus.
Locking Tips:
Use a Quality Lock: Invest in a good-quality lock that is difficult to cut or break.
Lock to Designated Areas: Only park and lock your bike in designated bike racks by the K building student lot or in front of the school entrance.
Secure All Parts: Lock both the frame and the wheels to the rack or post.
Thank you for being so cooperative in keeping our campus secure for everyone.

Walnut High School Heat Protocol for Outdoor Activities
As we are experiencing hot and humid weather, we wanted to share how we handle excessive heat for our students involved in extracurricular outdoor activities. Our athletic trainer continuously monitors the weather with a wet bulb globe temperature thermometer.
Let’s take preventative measures and let’s keep reminding our students of the importance of nutrition and hydration (water + electrolytes) on a daily basis as we tackle these hot days!
Click below for the Walnut High School Wet Bulb Temperature Protocol.

The student will need to contact the Attendance Department to make any necessary corrections to their individual period attendance.
