January 29, 2024
We hope everyone has stayed warm and dry throughout this rainy start to 2024! Students and staff have been busy performing, competing, and working hard in the classroom this month. We hope to see you on campus at one of our many events this spring, including our rescheduled open house which is now on February 8th at 6pm. Come meet your student's spring teachers, see examples of student work, and learn more about course selection opportunities in sessions with the counselors. There will be a little something for everyone!
As always, please reach out if you need any assistance or have any questions.
Mr. Lewis and Ms. Tones
1st progress report
The first progress report of the term has been finalized and is viewable in Home Access. Progress reports show student progress in their courses, with final grades being posted at the 9 weeks on the report card.
Grades of 70 or higher earn credit for the term. Students should earn one full credit for all 4 of their courses in a semester. In order to do so the two term grades must equal 140 or higher.
Questions or concerns about your student's progress? Reach out to us. Your student's advisor is available to assist you as well as the contacts below.

This month's session we are inviting families to come and join us for a presentation on communication strategies with teens.
Our Family Friday sessions start at 7:30 in our front glass conference room right inside the main doors. Come join us, have a cup of coffee, and hopefully take home a few tips from either the presenters or your fellow parent participants. We hope to see you there.
Spring Open House
Join us on February 8th for our spring open house from 6:00 - 7:30pm. Meet your student's spring semester teachers, attend course selection information sessions, and see student products displayed throughout the building.
Counselors are currently meeting individually with juniors to discuss their course selections for the 2024-25 school year. Meetings for 9th and 10th grade will also be happening soon. Students sign up for their preferred time slot via the link posted on Schoology.
The new FAFSA system is currently in a soft launch. The office of federal student aid has reported that no financial aid information will be transferred to colleges until the end of January. All seniors with their information uploaded by the end of the month will be included in the initial transfer.
Just a reminder that February 15th is the deadline to order your graduation cap and gown without incurring a $10 late fee. Caps and gowns ordered before the deadline will be delivered to you on campus in late April.
