Materials Pickup
Dear Meadow View families,
We will have another materials pick up this Friday, October 2nd from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Distribution is the same as the one we held in September. Again, we are asking you to place a sheet of paper on your passenger window with the student's name and classroom teacher's name so that we can quickly grab the right bag for you.
We will also be collecting any books or materials you have to return to us. Please place them in a disposable bag, clearly labeled with your child's name and teacher's name.
Parents are invited to look through the Lost and Found one more time for any items left in their lockers in March. We have many jackets, snow pants, boots, gym shoes, and more to look through. We will be donating any unclaimed items.
Attendance in Distance Learning
If your child will not be participating in Distance Learning on a given day, please call our school Attendance Line at 608-478-5000 ext 1 to report the absence.
We will take Attendance on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday because we know being present in class is important to student success.
Attendance will not be taken on Wednesdays. Wednesdays are an independent workday.
Students will have an entire school day, including the evening hours, to engage with learning and be considered present for class each day, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Teachers will help students understand the importance of attendance, make class engaging and relevant so that students are drawn to attend, and hold students accountable not just for attending Zoom sessions but for also demonstrating their learning by submitting homework online.
If we do not receive any information regarding your child's absence please note that they will be marked with an unexcused absence.
Enjoy the Otter Chant brought to you by 2nd-grader, Saanvi!

Library Helps
Missing Books – Please Help
Please look around the house and check for any books that need to be returned to school. There are many library books still out from spring and we’d love to be able to share the books with more students. Books from other elementary schools in the district can be returned to Meadow View.
If you find any books, please return them during Materials Pick-Up this Friday, October 2nd, from 8:30am-1:30pm. Thank you!
SORA
This past week, Sora was introduced to students through a library lesson. There was confusion about usernames and passwords. Here is the information:
Kindergarten – 2nd Grade (iPad users):
Username = student ID number (found in Infinite Campus account)
Password = spasd2021
Grades 3-5 (Chromebook users):
Username = student ID number (found in Infinite Campus account)
Password = first three letters of the student’s birth month, with the first letter capitalized followed (without any spaces) by the student’s Person ID (also found in Infinite Campus)
***When logging into Sora, do not choose Meadow View Elementary (this is not our Meadow View school), instead:
Choose “Wisconsin Schools Digital Library Consortium”
Then choose “Sun Prairie Area School District 2” in the drop down menu.
Click “Sign in using Sun Prairie Area School District 2”.
Now you can login with your SPASD login using the information above for username and password.
