President's Corner by Karen Thomas
I want to say thank you to everyone who participated in our major spring fundraiser The Color Run! It was a huge success and the students really loved getting all the color on them. I need to give a BIG Thanks to all the volunteers who helped with preparation before and during The Color Run. We could not have pulled this off without your support. We would like to THANK all the organizations that gave monetary donations or gift cards to help make the event a success.
- First Community Credit Union
- Fajita Willies
- Bounce Bounce
- Shipley Donuts
- Children’s Museum of Houston
- Texas Roadhouse
We appreciate you supporting Copeland. We could not do all the wonderful things the PTO does without your help and generosity. Everyone’s efforts and generosity are much appreciated.
I want to give a shout out and THANK YOU to my PTO Board members Alya, Amanda, Cree, Cynthia, Donna, Lakishia, and Penelope. It has been a pleasure working with you ladies and I appreciate all the support you gave me this year. We could not have had such a successful year without you guys. I will miss you guys. #PTOLIFE
I want to also thank all the volunteers who stepped up to be Home Room Coordinators or Chairman. We could not get all the wonderful activities and programs we have at Copeland accomplished without your support. THANK YOU!
We are almost at the end of the school year! Be on the lookout for information regarding the year end parties, which will be held on the last day of school May 30th. We have a lot of exciting activities coming up in the next few days. You can always contact your homeroom coordinator or any board member regarding these opportunities.
Get your yearbooks while supplies last. We only have limited quantity available and once they are gone they are gone. You can send in cash, a check payable to Copeland PTO, or make a payment on the PTO website copelandpto.org.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns regarding PTO, please feel free to contact me at email@example.com .
Copeland Color Run-Spring FUNdraiser by Amanda Ball
WE DID IT!!! We exceeded our goal of $30,000 and 100% of the donations will stay at Copeland! Copland raised $31,148.42! AWESOME!!
We want to thank each and every person that donated to help us reach our goal. We could not have done it without you. The Color Run was a huge success and I loved seeing all the colorful kids and sounds of laughter. The kids, staff, and parents all seemed to be having a blast.
A big thank you to all the volunteers, staff, and PTO board who helped make our Color Run event run smoothly. Whether you spent the day with us, donated an item, or did prep work; we truly appreciate all that you did for our Colts. It couldn't have been done without each and every one of you!
Thank you again for supporting our Copeland Colts!

I would like to thank all of those who donated and volunteered their time towards the Color Run! It was a huge success because of you. As a PTO Board member and parent, I am truly humbled by the generosity of our little community. The students at Copeland will benefit greatly from all of your kindness!
As we all know, the end of the school year is approaching quickly. There will be a need for volunteers for several events over the coming weeks. The Garden by Tracy Reynolds
Thanks go out to the parents who helped make chocolate-chocolate chip zucchini muffins with the zucchini that was harvested from the garden. Ask your child if they tried it?
The last garden date is May 23. We are requesting donations of mulch for the garden. We want any kind but red and it can be left anytime near the picnic tables. On May 23 the 3rd grade is going to harvest and put the garden to rest for the summer. The mulch helps keep the weeds down during the summer. The 3rd graders will plant sweet potatoes as a gift to the incoming 3rd grade.
