This Week at Bower...
We had a super Valentine's Day week spreading love all over Bower. It was so nice to be able to pass out Valentines again this year. We had some pretty amazing Valentine boxes showcasing our creativity too!
What an adventure our first Remote Learning Day was! I feel like we all learned a lot. I was able to join most classes and there aren't enough exclamation points to emphasize how proud I am of our students and staff!! It is much harder learning on a device, and yet our students and staff were very engaged. And it's an important reminder of how very grateful we are that we are learning in person this year!
Today we had our Bower PAWS Families. My favorite day of the month! In our families we talked about acts of kindness that we have been on the receiving end of and ways to show kindness to others. We listed to a book (read by Mr Leckron) called "A Girl with a Cape" by Amy Logan and talked about how being kind is our super power. In our families we all contributed to a Bobcat wearing a cape, full of blue hearts with ways we will show kindness. Just the absolute best way to end a week!
We are looking forward to President's Day on Monday and a PTA Assembly on Wednesday next week! Have a wonderful weekend.
Stay warm,
Bridget Moore

5 Essentials Survey
Our school community has been invited to complete the Illinois 5Essentials Parent Survey. The information you provide will help guide improvement as we strive to inspire each student to excel through the education and opportunities we provide at Bower.
Your participation in this survey is voluntary and anonymous but crucial. We can’t receive results from the survey unless at least 20 percent of parents respond. The more responses parents provide, the more we will know how to focus our efforts toward the improvements you want. Take the survey today!
Go to: https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois to take the survey.
Select “Parent Survey.”
You may enter your email address if you would like to receive confirmation of your submission, but it is not required.
