FEBRUARY 9 - IMPACT
A WORD TO THE WISE...
*NOVEMBER - 1 week till the break!
*STAFF DEVELOPMENT MONDAY - Rachel and Tammy C will be doing a workshop Monday after school talking about creating rubrics for grading. This is a great learning opportunity for all!
*DR. WINKLER VISIT - Dr. Winkler visited and walked classes on Tuesday. She loved seeing the students engaged in learning.
* THIRD GRADE PROGRAM - What a great program from our third graders! Thanks you third grade teachers for changing your schedule working with your students and Mrs. Richeson to present an amazing choir program!
*WEEK COUNTDOWN - We are a week away from our first much needed break! With that said, behaviors are going to start increasing. As you well know, it is imperative that we stay constant with in classroom routines and behavioral expectations. As always, if you need help, don't hesitate to call the front office and someone will come assist.
*RTI - With the overwhelming concerns we have for students this year, RtI referrals will now come to me. I am attaching a form to this document that you will need to complete and either email to me or put in my mailbox. RtI meetings (other than end of cycle and district ???) will be held the second and fourth Tuesday each month after school. These will be held from 3:30 - 4:30 starting on November 27.
*INTERVENTIONS WITH JAYDA - As RtI needs have increased, there is a good chance that Jayda will be pulling back from some of the small group assistance she has been offering. Please be patient as we work through her new schedule and know that if we have any extra time, we will make it available for small group assistance.
*THANKSGIVING FEAST - Don't forget that the Thanksgiving Feast is this Wednesday. PTO in conjunction with Social committee has organized what looks like an amazing feast that day! Come hungry and wear your loosest fitting jeans!
*GT NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN - If you have students who YOU feel need to nominated for GT testing (parents will be notified soon about the window being opened). the window is open. If you need a form, see Kara. Once you have completed it, give it to Deanna.
*TEAM HUDDLES - SPED - Monday, 4 - Tuesday, Special - Thursday (as usual, I'll be in your area at 7:25 if you wish to start early. Everyone needs to be in attendance for us to start)
*TEAM HUDDLE QUESTION FOR THOUGHT - What is one thing that YOU CAN CONTROL that stresses you out?
HIGH RELIABLE SCHOOLS
IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED THIS SURVEY, PLEASE DO SO BY FRIDAY! THEY WILL CLOSE THE SURVEY ON FRIDAY AND WORK ON A REPORT TO SEND BACK TO US BY THE END OF NOVEMBER.
This is another opportunity for your voice to be heard! The survey is anonymous and the Marzano company will disaggregate and give us feedback. The feedback will be in areas where we are doing well and areas for growth. They will also provide the school with suggestions on how we can continue to improve in the area of safety and communication.
If you have any questions about this process, please come see Tami. We are excited to join Oak Ridge High School, Irons Junior High, Vogel Intermediate, and Kaufman Elementary on this journey.
IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED THIS QUICK SURVEY, PLEASE DO So ASAP! As of today, there are only 17 responses! Every classroom teacher needs to complete this.
We are trying to look at upgrading/ordering new technology but I can't move forward until I hear from everyone. I promise it only takes a couple of minutes to complete.
