Felt the Twist and go!

October 17, 2014 with Keiko Mizoguchi

pop-up workshop!

Keiko Mizoguchi is a felt artist in Japan and she participates in the exhibition ' Sculptural Felt International' in Nagele in 2014. She has recently decided to stay in the Netherlands from October 16 to 22nd. She is happy to teach a one day workshop at Ocotber 17th, 2014 in her ‘twistmaking’ technique at atelier Fiberfusing in the Netherlands.

twist and find your sculptural form

After making a small sample of basic twist you’re ready to make your own original form of favorite color. Using a basic pattern you can create a sculptural form as in the photo. Many variations are created by changing the position of the hole. If you’re going to make a beret it needs a hole to wear.

Keiko Mizoguchi loves to work with bright colors and sculptural form inspired by plants and flowers. The special organic shape and delicate shades of the three dimensional felted forms are very important elements in her work.
