Andrews Elementary
On Wings of Excellence - Week of Oct. 17th
Dear Andrews Family
What a great week at Andrews! We enjoyed recognizing so many students during our end-of-nine-weeks assemblies this morning. We are definitely aware that your consistent support and encouragement at home play a significant role in the success of all our Andrews students. Thank you for your partnership with us!
Please read below for important information about upcoming events. In particular, please note that individual picture re-takes will NOT occur on Tuesday, October 18th. Lifetouch has experienced a delay and has not yet sent the original pictures for us to give to you. Only new students (who enrolled after the initial picture day) and students who were absent on the first picture day will have individual pictures taken on Tuesday, 10/18. The re-take day for individual pictures will be scheduled for later in the semester. Once we receive the new re-take date from Lifetouch, we will be sure to let you know. Group pictures will still take place as scheduled (see below for more information).
Have a wonderful weekend!

Nurses' News
Take a Taste Tuesday
Each week, one class will get a chance to try a fruit or vegetable that starts with the letter of the week. The students all learn about the food on the morning announcements. This week for the letter B, Nurse Sherbert and Ms. Adkins introduced bell peppers. Bell peppers are a great source of vitamins C and E. Mrs. Morgan’s third grade class got to taste bell peppers and everyone gave a unanimous Thumbs Up to the flavor of healthy bell peppers.
We hope that this will encourage your children to try new things. Try to incorporate bell peppers into a healthy family meal this week!Makerspace
