Avoid the "Summer Slide"
Summer Break is time to relax, play and have fun! However, all play and no work has a downside. It’s important to keep those brain muscles flexed when school is out.
Did you know . . .
Research studies have shown that students may lose one to three months worth of learning over the summer, particularly in math computation!
We have a way to help your children stay sharp!
On the Ben Franklin website this summer, you will find a “Summer Math” page (watch the video below to take a quick tour.)
This site is full of grade-level activities, website links, games, and worksheets to help your child avoid the “Summer Slide.” Students will get a preview and introduction to the Summer Math site in their classrooms and an informational flyer will be sent home.
Check out the video above for a tour of the Summer Math Website!
