Adventure Dash FUN RUN
VIP Foam Party for those that earned the VIP Foam Bands has been RESCHEDULED. The Adventure Dash Foam Machine was caught in the recent floods. They are getting a new machine and will reschedule the party for all the students that earned that party. The team has a list of the students that earned that party - so even if they lose their band, they will still have access to that special VIP party once we reschedule that.

Vision & Hearing Screening Volunteers Needed:
I would love to have 6 vision screeners and 3 Hearing screeners. We are hoping to only need them for 3 class periods so if they can sign up for the day that would help immensely but definitely not required!!
We need CERTIFIED Volunteers for these shifts: (these volunteers will need to come with their certification card that they received when they took the vision/hearing screening class):
5th & 3rd grades so that shift will be (8:55-11:40) There will be a 1 hour break in between.
1st grade shift will be in the afternoon at 2:55-3:50.
CROWD CONTROL Volunteers: (no certification needed)
* There are a lot more kids this year so I'm thinking maybe 12 volunteers per shift. These volunteers will aid in noise control, keeping the lines moving, helping getting kids from holding area, and help with height and weight.
Our School Vision
It is that time of year for our open referral for the Gifted and Talented program. The Open‐Referral Period falls between October 1 –November 30, 2019. If you would like to refer your student to be tested in the Spring, please review the GT Identification Process. Parents must have the Parent Survey and Permission Form turned in by the end of the day Nov. 30th. The form is attached or may be picked up at the front desk.
Volunteer's Needed for Vision and Hearing Screening
We are needing volunteers for the mass Vision and Hearing Screening on October 9 & 10th.
We need 6 certified Vision Screeners and 6 certified Hearing Screeners for both days. We will need 12 volunteers for crowd control (no official training needed) on both days to help move the lines, help with Growth and Height, and keep students very quiet for hearing screening areas.
Vision and Hearing screeners need to be certified and need to bring the certification card with them the day of their shift.
Crowd Control shifts can be any volunteer. No certification needed. They will help with moving lines along, keeping students quiet in the hearing screen room, and help with Growth and Weight measurements.

Dance Team News!
REDS Dance Team- 1st and 2nd Grade:
Practices begin next week! The first practice will be on Tuesday, October 1st. Drop off will be in the back of the Gym. please form ONE line. Teachers will be at the second door of the gym starting at 7:50am.
The last day to pay for the Uniform Fee on School Cash is September 24th. Wanted to remind you that the Uniform Fee of $130 pays for the top, skirt, briefs, socks, bow, poms and the trophy. (If you paid $140, reimbursements of $10 will be made after the fittings).
The Uniform Fitting Appointment Link was emailed out this week. Uniform Fittings are on Wednesday, October 2nd and Thursday, October 3rd from 4:15-6:15. All appointments are 15 minutes long and students will need to wear tight fitting clothes so that the top and skirt can be tried on on top. The Appointments will be in the Art Room.

Practices started last week for the Returning 4th and 5th Graders. They will be performing at the Health Expo on Saturday, October 12th. The time has not been confirmed, yet. We will send out information as soon as we know.
The NEW 3rd-5th Graders will begin practice on Friday, October 18th.
