PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be scheduled on Monday, November 17 and Tuesday, November 18. All parents are highly encouraged to attend and participate in conferences. Your knowledge and input about your child are greatly valued and appreciated.

During your parent-teacher conference, your child’s teacher will review performance data and progress in social, emotional and academic areas. This is also an opportunity for you to share, ask questions and express concerns. You will receive your child’s report card at this time. Our teachers look forward to meeting with you to discuss your child’s progress.

Please contact Marie to schedule a conference by stopping by the front office or calling RCS at 978-249-2900. If you are unable to attend a conference here at school, please call to schedule a time for a telephone conference with your child’s teacher. We will work to schedule conferences to accommodate parent schedules and families with multiple children in our school.

We look forward to hearing from you.

ELEMENTARY PARENT MATH NIGHT

The district is planning a parent math night for Thursday, December 4th from 6:00-7:30. This event will take place at ARMS. Math consultants from Looney Math will be providing an overview of the major shifts with the Common Core State Standards and highlights of topics addressed in each grade level. There will be an opportunity to engage in learning strategies, ask questions and learn about our math program and instructional approaches. We hope you are able to attend.

Please visit http://commoncore.org/parents to access parent tip sheets for each module by grade level. These include an overview of the standards and concepts being taught, math vocabulary, picture examples and suggestions for activities to do at home. These tips sheets summarize what students are learning and are a great homework reference.
