Principal's Corner; Ms. Sonya Pitcock

Cougar families,

We hope this newsletter finds you well! We had a great Love Week last week with lots of fun, dress up and donations. Thank you to everyone who participated and donated to Love Week. We donated over $1500 from our campus that will go towards this year’s Love Week Recipient – Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County.

We need some help from parents regarding the front bus lanes. We have recently had MANY parents who are dropping students off in the bus lanes in the front of the building slowing down and being in the way of our buses being able to drop off. We ask you to PLEASE drop students off on the parent drop off side of the building unless it is AFTER 8:15. This is an important system for the safety of our students and drivers. We are also seeing parents drive quite fast in the parking lot. Please remember to use caution as you move through the parking lots as we have staff and students entering the building from the parking lot. We want to keep everyone safe and need your attention to this.

We are seeing an increase in students bringing water bottles that have straws and are unable to close. The expectation for water bottles is that they can be sealed closed so water is not able to spill out. Cups with straws should not be sent to school for students to carry around. Thank you for your help with this.

Good luck to all our orchestra, choir and one act play on their UIL performances this week and next week! The sound awesome and I’m certain will bring home great scores from the judges!

Track season has started and our coaches have asked that parents use the campus website for specific information about practices, qualifying for meets, meet times, tickets, etc. Here is the website link for all Track information. It will be updated regularly for parents.
