Dear families,
As we wrap up this year, I am reflecting on all we have been through together this year. The effects of the pandemic, the Almeda fire, distancing learning, and bringing students back on campus following all of the distancing guidelines has made this quite the historic year. I am in awe of all that we have accomplished together. I am so grateful for our partnership in working to meet the emotional and social needs of our community, while still supporting all the academic learning and growth. I know I have said it many times, but I am so deeply appreciative for all of your support this year. This year was a challenging one, but you made it a rewarding one too. Thank you for helping make this community so strong.
To our fifth grade families and any other families who are leaving Walker, we love you and we will miss you! Please remember that no matter where you go or how big you grow, the Wolf Pack will always be your home.
Please see below for two beautiful videos from the incredible Wolf Pack Choir and Mrs. Jeffs! We are so proud of this hard working choir and their wonderful teacher; we hope you enjoy these as much as we do!
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me for questions, concerns, or celebrations.
In Community,
Tiffany

Device Return: A Message from our Tech Department
The year is almost over and it is nearly time to collect all loaned technology and the power cord (including district laptops, iPads, and hotspots). After a year of hard work, we need to refresh the devices by performing maintenance and updates so they are ready for use this coming fall. To make sure this happens, please return all technology by Friday, June 18 at the latest.
The first class at Walker to have all of their technology returned will get a special prize!
Does your student plan to attend summer school? We still need your currently issued technology returned! Summer school teachers will make sure students have access to all necessary tools this summer, including technology if needed. Is your student’s loaned device a little worse for wear? Maybe it’s missing a keyboard key or has a cracked screen? We still need damaged devices returned so we can perform repairs.
In recognition of varying work schedules and hours of availability, we have a few options for technology returns. First, students may return their devices to their school. Please send your child's device to school to return to their classroom teacher.
You are also welcome to return devices directly to the AHS IVC Center. See below for details.
AHS IVC Center Technology Return Schedule
Early-bird Drop off available the week of June 1, for those students not currently using their devices:

If you have questions or are unable to return the technology at any of the listed times, email techhelp@ashland.k12.or.us or call 541-201-2600 to make other arrangements.
Thanks in advance and CONGRATULATIONS on making it through to the end of the school year!

5th Grade Farewell Ceremony
We are looking forward to celebrating our 5th grade students for the Farewell Ceremony this year! Due to COVID regulations and the need to reduce the number of audience members, we will hold the Farewell Ceremony on Zoom this year. Our entire school community will be present for the assembly so that we can send our 5th graders off to 6th grade in true Wolf Pack style!
The school-wide assembly will occur on Wednesday, June 16th from 9:00 – 10:00 am. If you (or other family members) do not plan to watch the assembly on your child’s device, please let your child’s teacher know by June 14th so that we can make sure you have access to the zoom link. We will record the assembly so that it can be shared with any family who is unable to attend. We will also have other special activities here on campus to celebrate our incredible 5th graders!

Our Wolf Pack Needs Your Help!
Right now, we are all dealing with the impacts of the Covid 19 Pandemic. While we are all in the same storm, we are not in the same boat. Many of our families are struggling due to the loss of jobs, income, and stable housing. Walker has been working hard to support our families with a weekend food program. Our current funding sources are running low, and we could use your help!
Please visit:https://or-ashland-lite.intouchreceipting.com/wolfpacksupport to donate today.
100% of donations will go directly to purchasing food and supplies for our families in need.
If you are a family in need, please reach out directly to your child's teacher, or Tiffany.
