Phased Return to In-Person Learning
The Boise School District Phased Return to In-Person Learning plan has been shared (see email sent on September 10, 2020). Please take a moment to review the following information:
Sometime today you should receive an email from your child’s teacher with information about your child’s assigned group, either Gold and Silver.
- Virtual Learning Day = Monday
- Gold = Tuesday & Thursday
- Silver = Wednesday & Friday
Students in Preschool-2nd Grade will return to school on the plan listed above during the week of September 21, 2020. The return date for 3rd-6th Grade is listed in the Boise School District Plan listed above.
We are looking forward to our students returning to school! There will be many new procedures and routines that will be introduced, taught, practiced and reinforced during the first several days of school. All of the new procedures and routines relate to being safe at school. Watch for more information during the week of September 14, about the return to school and the related expectations for students and families.
Please check in with your child’s teacher whenever you have questions. You can reach out to me too. Call me in my office at 208-854-6064 or send me an email at gale.zickefoose@boiseschools.org
Take care!

WELCOME TO OUR NEW SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER
WELCOME TO OUR NEW SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST
"We are operating in uncharted territory right now that nobody could have possibly imagined or prepared for. Your Boise Schools Student Services Team (social workers, counselors, school psychs and nurses) want you to know that your feelings are valid, no matter what they are. You might feel scared, confused, overwhelmed, angry, alone, grateful, or completely calm. You might feel many things at once, like being upset that an event was cancelled, but happy that you can wear pajamas all day. Your feelings are normal; the situation is not. Don't forget to breathe."
This Virtual Peace Room is a place for students and families to find tools and strategies for managing emotions and feelings. We are here to support you!
