Jaguar Spawtlight: Megan Beatty
Hello! I’m Megan Beatty and this will be my 6th year here at JA. Previously, I worked at Gage Elementary and in Chicago. I’ve taught just about every grade from Kindergarten to 9th grade. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education, theater and dance from Luther College and a master’s degree in English as a Second Language from Hamline University.
I have two kiddos of my own - Ryan (age 4) and Hannah (age 2). This summer was mostly bumming around Rochester and exploring it from their perspective. I also did my first triathlon and was thrilled to just finish! Other passions include photography and videography, camping, and waterskiing (and I’m happy to announce I finally beat my younger sister in a wall throwing contest). I also love doing choreography for musicals (this summer I choreographed Joseph in Stewartville, Lion King with Rochester community Ed and Into the Woods in Zumbrota). So if you love to dance - come help me choreograph this year’s JA production of Music Man Jr.!
