Important!!! Federal Impact Aid went home
Your child brought home a federal survey form that must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian. This important document allows Norfolk Public Schools to qualify for federal funding to support public education. Please take a few moments to complete this form and have your child return it to his or her homeroom teacher. All of your information will be kept confidential. Thank you for your cooperation and have a wonderful evening. Please return them tomorrow. If you did not receive one, please have your child report to the media center.
Blair's Best!
Thank you to all the staff, students, and parents that took the time to recognize our amazing team members! Here are a few of the submissions
MR. KNIGHT
My daughter has mentioned several times how involved Mr. Knight is with them learning pre algebra and has even made time for the students after school to help them as needed, so they can be confident in what they are learning. I truly appreciate Mr. Knight giving more than 100% for his students! (Parent submission)
MS. LAM
I sat on a PTC with Ms. Lam. Although I am not in the ELA department, I felt very informed about the activities ELA is doing. I would like to say that the way Ms. Lam carried herself during the PTC was exceptional. When the child's grandmother had questions and concerns, Ms. Lam did a great job of explaining where you could locate all activities for her class. As well as explain the communication site where she can get reminders about the upcoming activities and what assignments are missing. You can tell she cares and wants what best for students. Go Ms. Lam!! (Staff submission)
MR. CLARKE
He goes above and beyond the call of duty and inspires my daughter. (Parent submission)

Clubs - Time to sign up!
We are pleased to announce our variety of clubs and grateful for the staff members that are sponsoring these clubs for our students. Activities offered by clubs enable students to learn valuable skills and many of the activities offered by clubs help students to extend and elaborate on the more formal knowledge learned in school.
Times and dates will be shared with you, after you sign up, by the club sponsor. If you have any questions, please contact the club sponsor. Most clubs will start next week. Most clubs will be held on Tuesday or Thursday and transportation will be provided for eligible students. Students will leave at 5:07pm. Club sponsor(s) will let you know if the clubs meets on a different day. A form will be sent home to students when clubs start that give permission for students to stay after school. No student can stay after school without a permission form from a parent or guardian.
You must use your NPS email account to sign in and sign up for a club.

Snack Cart - We need some donations!
Please support our Positive Behavior, Intervention, and Support (PBIS) initiative and help fill up the Blair Bucks cart. Students can earn Blair Bucks to purchase things off the cart once a week. Our students LOVE the cart! Our faithful volunteers at WyldLife push the cart around to each grade level on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Please deliver any items you see on the flyer to the main office anytime between 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. Contact AP Cave if you have any questions.
We appreciate the families that dropped off donations or used Amazon Prime to deliver the items right to our school!
PTA - Important Information

Please help recognizing our students of the week through a small donation.
At Blair Middle School, we recognize students who exemplify those character traits our school reinforces through PBIS - Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. Different students are nominated each week. Those that are selected, from each grade level, receive a certificate and goodie bag with various items that the students would enjoy. The items on this list will help Blair provide incentives for good behavior.
