Earned Off Criteria - Read Carefully
2018-2019 Earned Off Hours for Professional Employees
One day (6 hours) of earned-off credit may be earned by attending approved staff development in and out of the district. These hours can be accrued beginning in April 2018 and must be completed by April 1, 2019.
All credit toward the earned-off day must be completed during off-contract hours.
College courses, in the field of education or directly related to your professional position within the district if it is other than a teacher, may also count toward earned-off days at a rate of 6-hours credit for a 3-hour college course. The college courses must be completed prior to earned-off days. Transcripts indicating that three hours were awarded for the course can serve as certificates of completion.
All training within the district needs to be entered into Eduphoria Workshop through the registration process. Approval for requested staff development outside the district must come from Ms. Ketcham and certificates of completion must be provided to the administrators to receive credit. Approval must be obtained prior to completion of training outside the district or an administrator is not obligated to approve the time toward the requirement for 6 hours of earned-off time.
The earned-off day is scheduled for 2018-19 on the following date: May 29, 2019. Credit for this day must be earned prior to April 1, 2019, documented by the campus principal or appropriate administrator, and turned into the Learning Department. Failure to comply will result in a dock in pay based on an employee’s daily rate of pay. This money will be automatically deducted from the June 2019 paycheck.
