SH Bass Club has a Great Year-State Tournament Bound
2017-2018 has been a great year for the SH Bass Club.
Entering the season we were privileged to have 9 competitive high school teams. Of these 9 teams, 3 teams finished in the top 40% of the East Division, qualifying for the Regional Championship. Two of the three teams that qualified for Regionals are now headed to the state championship in May. We are very proud of all of our teams for the sportsmanship and determination that each of them has portrayed.
Mr. Haney has been an excellent faculty advisor for our team. He consistently goes above and beyond to promote and support our team needs. In addition to Mr. Haney, the support of our President Ricky Doss, Vice President Brad Rogers, and Treasurer Jeannie Herndon have been invaluable.
The SH Bass Club was recently awarded the East Division Faculty Advisor of the Year. What an honor for this new and growing club.
Our “Follow The Trail” club is available to our Jr High students. We have had a growing interest at the Jr High level, with one team participating in several of our tournaments this season, winning prizes for their efforts.
Thank you SHISD for supporting this club and for the support of our school board. The support of our administration and community sponsors makes our team an even greater success for our students!
Go, Panthers!
