Hydroelectric Energy

How does energy work?

How hydroelectric power works:

Hydroelectric power plants produce energy similar to coal fired power plants. A power source is used to turn a turbine, which then turns a metal shaft in an electric generator, the electric generator is the motor that produces electricity.

Non-hydroelectric energy:

Non-hydroelectric renewable energy is electricity supplied from solar, geothermal, biomass, landfill gas, and wind power. Those sources of power are considered to be renewable because they are continuously being replenished. They are also considered sustainable because nature will replenish these sources, in the future, quicker than they are used.
