Parents' Right to Know
The following information may be requested:
- Whether your child's teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction
- Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which state qualification or licensing criteria have been waived
- Whether the teacher is teaching in the field of discipline of the certification of the teacher.
- Whether the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.

Elementary Family Literacy Night
Thursday, September 29
4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
- Sign up for a FREE library card from the public library (adults and students)! Bring your drivers license or proof of your current address
- Our EIP teacher, Dr. Pamela Ray will read her book
- Visit classrooms to learn about reading levels, Lexiles, and strategies to improve reading
- Door prizes!
School's Parent Resource Center
At the Jordan Hill Elementary Parent Resource Center, parents can find academic pamphlets and brochures, homework help strategies, books and games for checkout.

Strive for 95 Attendance
The purpose of the Strive for 95 Campaign is to improve student average daily attendance to at least 95% throughout GSCS by implementing comprehensive strategies that effectively promote, communicate, model, and reinforce positive student attendance
