LUNA ELEMENTARY'S MISSION IS TO NURTURE THE WHOLE CHILD IN THE JOYFUL PURSUIT OF LIFELONG LEARNING.
Seesaw-Sending School Announcements
Classroom teachers will be asked to send out information throughout the year to families. As discussed during professional development week in August, parents are much more plugged into the announcements coming from their classroom teachers so we will periodically ask you to send out information. We also stressed the importance of sending out these items in a timely manner.
We are having parents approach us asking why some teachers are not communicating information home like others are. Several parents did not see the flyers regarding College Week and the Attendance Awareness Days. They also haven't received the PTA newsletters (August and September). An unfortunate by-product of this is that it changes the parents perception of how well a teacher communicates, how organized a person is, or even how invested you are. This is a really easy way to communicate with families and connect them to your classroom and the school. Think about how you can get organized to ensure that you do send out the information and communicate well regarding your classroom with parents. In team planning meetings, ask others how they utilize Seesaw to have an open line of communication with their families. It's a small thing with tremendous impact.
