Grace Period is over for Free Lunch! You must Apply!
Parents and Guardians,
We are reaching out to you regarding submitting a lunch application for your student. Our records indicate that you did not place your application yet!
Our grace period for free and reduced lunch is over on October 5th. You must apply again to receive a free or reduced meal!
We highly encourage all of our parents to submit a lunch application for their students. It is not mandatory, however, there are many benefits if your student is approved for free or reduced. Some benefits from being approved for free or reduced lunch include:
- Community programs such as holiday baskets or backpack programs
- Federal health programs such as Medicaid or Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to identify eligible students.
- Local educational programs and other local programs that provide benefits such as free textbooks or school supplies, free band instruments, or reduced fees for summer school or driver education.
- Local health programs
- Reduced fees for PSAT, SAT or Advanced Placement and College testing. College tuition for dual credit courses.
You can still apply for free and reduced meal benefits. We ask that all families apply online through SchoolCafe for free and reduced meal benefits.
Remember, you must apply every year in order to receive free or reduced meal benefits. If your student is transferring from another district, please remember you will have to go back to the application and change the district under profile.
