A Message from the Leadership Team
We would like to thank ALL who have helped make our Summer Term a successful one: teachers, staff and students. Please encourage your students to join us this Thursday, July 28, at 11:30AM for free hotdogs, chips & soda in LWTC cafeteria.
We appreciate the flexibility each of you at LWTC has shown in moving locations. The work being done on building one is on schedule and we should all be back to our familiar surroundings by the start of Fall Term.
As you know this is our last week of formal instruction for the Summer Term, please inform your students to see their site coordinator if they are interested in attending Fall Term. We have limited seats available for LWTC day classes and we will do our best to accommodate all who are interested. Past student attendance will be a factor in placement. If you are interested in teaching Fall Term, and have not yet notified Ingrid, please do so as soon as possible. Additionally, those students that have completed a registration form, but have not yet paid, should do so before the end of Summer Term.
CASAS post-testing will be taking place August 1 – 4th. Students who have met the attendance requirements to test should have been notified and scheduled for their date and time. Please remind those who will be testing to arrive 15 minutes early; they are to come to the Lorenzo Walker High School lobby where they will be escorted to the appropriate lab. It is important that we post-test ALL eligible students. We need all teachers to help encourage and remind students of their testing times. Site coordinators have the list of dates and times. If you or a student has a question about testing, please see the site coordinator. Thanks for all you do.
