Where Are We Now? - The Implementation Update
We are celebrating over 16,000 users in the platform! Congratulations to everyone who has made this such a successful experience! We keep moving forward thanks to you!
Here’s what we’ve seen in the last week:
- Over 66,000 visits
- Almost 1 million page views
- Over 14,000 files uploaded
- Almost 17,000 submissions
- Almost 1,000 comments posted
Keep in mind that we’re at the beginning of a journey. We have a lot of ground to cover and we’re just learning the terrain. Communication is key! Partner with us by participating, asking questions, and providing feedback so that we can continue to grow. That participation is helping us work to meet your needs.
If something unusual happens, communicate it to your DLC who will reach out to us if they need additional support. We’re happy to help, plus we won’t know what to fix or improve unless we hear from you.
Rubrics, Rubrics, Rubrics!
There have been a number of questions related to rubrics and Schoology, so let’s take a look at them.
Rubrics can be used in the Schoology platform to grade assignments, discussions, and assessment questions. You are able to create rubrics in advance in the Grade Setup area of your course or create them on the fly as you assign work. You are able to save your rubrics to Resources for future use and to share with others.
Here are some helpful resources:
Save or print the attached quick reference sheets for aligned and custom rubrics. Do you prefer video? There is a 3-part video series from Schoology and another from a Schoology guru, @IrvSpanish. Any of these are great resources!

Some Things Can't Be Shared Enough
Summer Institute and 20Learn
Yes! We will be there to support you!
We are planning a variety of Summer Institute courses to meet the needs of all our 20Learn users at any and every level of experience. Registration has not begun, yet, but check out the flyer attached for some general information.
In addition to leveled courses, we will have offerings on assessment design and creation, badging, and advanced course design in addition to supported work time.
ALEC
The sun will set on ALEC at the end of the school year.
You’ve heard it before, but we can’t spread the word enough - ALEC will no longer be supported after the school year ends!
This is our last semester with ALEC. If you have ANY course content in ALEC, please see your DLC for help in downloading a backup of your materials. You can store the download in your OneDrive or upload it to Schoology.
