2023 March Issue
Greetings from Principal Rowell
The past few weeks are a great reminder of how challenging the winters in Wisconsin can be. We have been very lucky this year to have had a rather mild winter. We eagerly anticipate a shift in the weather and hope that spring is closing in on us soon.
In a few short weeks, the third quarter ends and spring break will be here. We encourage students to stay organized and keep up on assignments, meeting deadlines and finishing strong. With this plan, they can look forward to the break and spend some time relaxing and having fun with family and friends.
I want to take a moment to recognize our boys basketball team, and our coaches for a tremendous season. The team has played hard, showed grit and determination all season long. We are so proud of them. A huge shout out to our families and fans for your continued support of our student-athletes and athletic program. It is always great to have a big cheering section with positive energy leading the team to victory.
Please use this newsletter as a resource for events that are happening at our schools. As always, please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. Our goal is to build a strong educational community to support our students and school district.
NEWS and UPDATES
Assembly - 2015 Alum Joe Schmitt
What is noteworthy is that Dora funds her orphanage and boarding school with donations made to her TikToks. She is an influencer in the social media world and our students, who volunteered, were able to be part of creating a TikTok video. I was also impressed by the number of students who purchased the book authored by Joe, titled "Under a Zambian Tree".

We are still working on a few details for the day regarding the schedule and will share these with students and families later this week, through student email and Messenger.
From the desk of Ms. Nachreiner - High School Counselor
It’s hard to believe that it is already mid March! It’s a month of staying busy, March Madness, and Spring Break - full of lots of excitement!
Parents of seniors: Your child’s midyear transcripts have been submitted to all of the schools they have applied to. The next step for them is to start making decisions about where they would like to attend and then accepting or declining their offers. We are in the home stretch about 3 months left of the 2022-2023 school year.
I will be out of the office from April 2-4 chaperoning our HOSA state qualifying students at the convention in Wisconsin Dells. As always, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns regarding your student.
News from our Middle School Counselor, Mrs. O’Connor
Things are going well in the world of school counseling at Kohler Middle School. I have the pleasure of having some of the 6th grade students for study skills this semester. We just wrapped up taking a couple of learning style assessments. If you have a student in study skills this semester ask them what their learning style assessment summary said about the best way they learn.
We have Academic and Career Planning (ACP) field trips coming up this spring for 7th and 8th grade. 7th grade will be going to Lambeau Field, April 6, 2023, for the Green and Gold Career Day. More information to come soon. Keep an eye out for more information about what 8th grade will be doing for their ACP field trip later this spring.
If you have any question about school counseling please check out this link that explains the school counselor's role by the American School Counselor Association.
Please feel free to reach out to me by phone or email.

March Bomber Athletic and Activities
The winter sports season is coming to an end, and believe it or not spring competition is right around the corner. It has been an entertaining and exciting winter season.
The girl's basketball team had a lot of memorable moments, and the boy's basketball team continues to keep us on our toes with their multiple come-from-behind victories, and magical playoff run!
Spring practices have started, and all of the spring sports have some of the highest numbers that we have had in a long time! I am looking forward to seeing the snow finally melt, and for activities to start outdoors again. Go Blue Bombers!
Girls Basketball
The girl's basketball season has officially come to an end. The varsity girls had some memorable wins this year, including a great win against Elkhart Lake, and a hard-fought victory against Sheboygan Christian. The JV team was dominant throughout the year, and finished the season 18-4!
Thank you to seniors Isabel Wichman and McKenna Holzrichter for their dedication to the program over the last four years! Thank you to Coach Zielke, Coach Morelli, and Coach Plugge for all of the time they put into the season; your hard work is greatly appreciated!
Boys Basketball
The boy's basketball season has been amazing! The boys won their first conference title in nearly 30 years, they were the regional champions, had a great come-from-behind victory against Valders in the first round of sectionals, and played very hard against the #1 seed Kenosha St. Joseph Catholic, but lost the game.
The JV team showed a lot of growth throughout the season and always played with a lot of heart. Thank you to seniors Jalen Paul, Lucas Albrecht, Reece Breitenbach, Johnny Simons, and Ryan Short for all of your hard work and dedication to the team.
Thank you to Coach Roeder, Coach Albrecht, and Coach Baynes for all the hard work and time you put into coaching!
