With the District currently closed until April 3, GCISD wants to keep the community updated throughout this unique time. Therefore, we have created this GCISD Update which will be sent to you regularly. If you know someone that isn't receiving these updates, but would like to, please direct them to this sign up link.
Curbside Technology Support
Beginning on Friday, March 27, GCISD will provide emergency repairs to student devices through curbside support. The curbside service will be available at the GCISD Administration Building on Fridays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Mondays from 8 a.m. to noon.
It is important to note that, in order to receive support, students and/or parents must submit a Help Ticket prior to receiving service by signing into Classlink and clicking on the Help Desk button on a GCISD device. Please allow at least 48 hours to process your request. Click here to read complete instructions.
#GCISDAtHome with Fine Arts
Although we may be physically separated, we are still together in spirit as one community! Many of you have been sharing your #GCISDAtHome moments on social media, but now GCISD Fine Arts has stepped in to take it up a notch!
GCISD Fine Arts wants to hear from all our talented musicians, dancers, thespians, and artists! During this closure, use this Flipgrid to upload videos of you playing your favorite instrument, singing your favorite choral song, showcasing a piece of art, performing a scene from your favorite play, doing a dance routine, etc.
Approved videos will be seen on the GCISD Fine Arts Flipgrid, and the very best may even be featured on GCISD's other social media platforms.
We want to showcase YOU - Show us what you've got! #GCISDAtHome #GCISDFineArts
Learning@Home: Week 2 Information
The Week 2 resources for Learning@Home are now live and ready for students, parents, and teachers to use. As last week’s focus was connectivity and enrichment, this week we are focusing on routines, review, and relationships. The goal will be to help students begin creating learning routines at home using content and tools that are familiar.
Upon accessing the Learning@Home site, you will find the link to the Week 2 content review section. Select your grade band (PK-5, 6-8, or 9-12) and then click on the corresponding grade level (elementary) or courses (secondary). Elementary review activities are designed to include parent involvement. Teachers will be in touch with students regularly this week to interact and expand upon the course information found on the Learning@Home site. Please email learning@gcisd.net if you have any questions or need support.
