from the Lebovitz Resource Center

Before we get too far into the school year, I wanted to highlight a few new resources that I think you'll find helpful in your classrooms. You can get a full list of all the Library databases in our LibGuide. Find all off campus log in information on Moodle.

As always, I am happy to come by your classroom and introduce the databases or one particular database to the students. I am also happy to put together a LibGuide for any research project you are doing with students, however big or small!

Classroom Video On Demand

As we phase out DVD players in the classroom, Beth and I have been searching for alternative ways for you all to show videos. One resource I think you will enjoy is Classroom Video on Demand, which includes thousands of full-length videos and clips on core-curriculum topics.

Facts on File

Facts on File World Geography & Culture is a great way to incorporate study of geography and cultures around the world into your class.

SIRS Discoverer

Proquest SIRS Discoverer is a multidisciplinary database for middle school with periodicals, weblinks, and reference material.

EBSCOHost Explora

EBSCOHost has a new search experience, which makes it prettier and easier for students to navigate: Explora

Gale Research in Context

Finally, Gale added a new resource just for middle school students: Research in Context. The Gale resources are some of my favorites in terms of usability for students.
