Storyline Online

Storyline Online is a free resource for librarians and teachers. Some of these picture books are by Kevin Henkes, Patricia Polacco, Gene Zion, Mem Fox (among others) that are read by actors. One of my favorite books is Harry the Dirty Dog and it is read by Betty White. Children can even see the pictures while listening to the story. At the bottom of the webpage, there is a link to activity guides for the books that have writing prompts and homework suggestions.

Remind 101

Remind101 is a fantastic way to safely communicate with students and parents. All phone numbers are kept private and once messages are sent they can not be replied to. Teachers never see the students' phone number and vice versa. This would be perfect to remind students of an upcoming events or classroom announcements. You can sign up here.

Safe. Simple. Free. That's Remind101.

5. Repeat if you have multiple pages.
6. Click on Share icon and choose Open In.
7. Swipe left and choose Google Drive. Once uploaded click on the i. Rename document then click on the “Move to” icon. Choose the folder you want it placed in.

AirDrop for iPad, iPhone, and Mac

AirDrop lets you wirelessly transfer photos, videos, Safari websites, and locations with other iOS 7 users. For schools that use iPads it is a perfect way to transfer items from one device to another. It was part of the iOS 7 update for iPads and iPhones. Click here to see how AirDrop works.
