Who We Are
Mission: The community of Sunset Valley will educate our students to achieve their highest standards of performance by engaging them in exceptional opportunities.
Vision: To create an optimal learning experience that promotes ongoing collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and communication with students, teachers, parents, and community members for the success of all students.
"Taste of Sunset" & SVES Open House
I am excited to announce that our very first multicultural night is just around the corner!! We are calling our event, “Taste of Sunset”. It will be held this Thursday, February 21 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. At this family event, participants will be able to “travel” with their passports to learn about different countries and cultures through food, music, dance, mini-language lessons and more! Given the rich diversity of cultures in our community.
Our event will begin in the cafeteria at 6:00. At that time we will have two performances to enjoy on the stage. You will then be able to head into the gym where we will have 10 different displays set up by many of our family members. Some of the things that are being shared are:
- traditional songs and dances
- picture display
- clothing or other artifacts
- recipes & tastings
- volunteers to share & read aloud a children’s book from their culture (This will be in the library.)
- volunteers to give mini language lessons (counting to 10, colors, greetings, etc)
Afterwards, all teachers will be waiting for you to stop by your child's classroom for our annual Open House. You'll be able to see all the wonderful things your student has been working on this year so far.
I hope that this event will be both educational and fun for everyone and that we can better appreciate the wonderful cultures that we have represented in our school community!

Casey's Kids Fun Run - Be a Walker, Runner OR a VIRTUAL Runner!!!
The Casey's Kids Program started in 1997 when Janie Casey, a former counselor with the Keller Independent School District, discovered that a student was limiting the number of school days attended per week due to a lack of clothing. It was this student's need that led to Ms. Casey's mission to find a way to fund the clothing needs of students in need district-wide. Named in Janie's honor, the Casey's Kids Fun Run began as an effort to provide clothing and has now expanded to include other items such as school supplies and household needs. Funds are distributed to these families by KISD counselors. Funds are at an all time low right now and we need help raising more money to help families right here in KellerISD!
Please sign up! Just click HERE to register as many as you can to either walk or run in the event OR as a virtual participant.
