The More You Know...Welcome Letter
FROM YOUR FRIENDLY CTE SCHOOL COUNSELORS
Welcome to CTE! We are so excited to have students back at school and can't wait to meet you!
When do I have to start school?
Students in Cohort B will be at CTE on Thursday, September 10th and Friday, September 11th. These students have no academic responsibilities until the 10th.
*If you have Wednesday classes they will not start until Wednesday, September 16th!*
What does my day at CTE look like?
*Arrival is between 9:00 and 9:30 to get health screens and temperature checks. Students will not be able to access the building before 9:00 so if you are not arriving by bus please plan accordingly. There will be a grab and go option for breakfast as you make way to your program classroom.
*Your program time starts at 9:40 and you will be in that classroom space all day...there is no switching from one classroom to another...academic teachers and lunch will come to you! We will try to get outside as much as possible so bring clothing that is weather appropriate.
*All students will have Humanities as part of their program time which includes English and Social Studies proficiencies and credits so you will meet with this teacher in person once a week and will either have to meet virtually or be responsible for other coursework throughout the week. Times vary depending on program.
*All students will either have math or a science as part of their program. Just like Humanities, you will meet with this teacher in person once a week and will either have to meet virtually or be responsible for other coursework throughout the week. Times vary depending on program.
*2:05 you get to go home or back to your sending school!
**If you are a student who needs additional courses like Physical Education, Science, Drivers Ed, etc. they will either be taught online from a CTE teacher (meeting virtually on Wednesdays) or virtually through VTVLC.
**Co-Op students have a slightly different schedule. Please check in with Mr. Dowman for specifics.
Generic Sample Schedule
If you have an updated schedule it is being sent home Wednesday, September 2nd.
