Paws for Pride . . .
Congratulations to our winners from November 21st: Rachna Sehgal, Sarah Blasko, Kelly Wang, Adam Smith, Sarah Naegle, Angelina Dan, and Derek Jensen.
These students were chosen at random to be recognized and celebrated for demonstrating one of our five character traits - Pride, Respect, Individual Responsibility, Determination & Empathy. Thank you to all of the Titus families for your support of our Paws for PRIDE program.
PAWS for PRIDE Home Connection . . .
We are making the switch in our focus from Empathy to Pride for the months of November and December. To connect to home, we would like to hear about your family’s points of pride. Maybe someone learned to ride a bike or won a medal at a tournament. Perhaps someone in your family has tackled a difficult task, has gotten a promotion at work, or volunteered for a special event/charity. Whatever your family is proud of…we want you to share it with us. We will share your point of pride with our school community on the announcements. This will take the place of our t-chart homework. This is voluntary and is easy to do. Please email your information directly to Mrs. Horan and include the following:
- Family Name
- Child/Children’s names
- Brief description of your family’s Point of Pride
Thanks for all you do to help make Titus a great place! We look forward to celebrating with you!
For The Safety of our Children . . .
Please adhere to the following expectations with regard to dropping off and picking up students:
- Students arriving to school prior to 8:15, need to be supervised by their parent/caregiver - students can wait with their family member in a parking space until 8:15.
- We expect all parents/caregivers to follow the flow of traffic regarding morning drop-off. Stopping cars to drop off children on Barness Road to avoid the morning traffic is a safety hazard.
- We expect parents/caregivers to avoid driving through the bus lanes at the end of day during dismissal times from 3:00-3:35 PM daily. Students are walking through this lane to load vans and buses, and it should not be used for turnaround purposes or a thoroughfare.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
From the Nurse - THANK YOU!!!
We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Titus Families, faculty and staff for their overwhelming food donations and generosity this year! All of the food items we collect remain here at Titus and support our own Titus families. Thank you again for your amazing response and kindness!
Science Fun Day - Save the Date!
We are beginning our planning of the highly anticipated Science Fun Day - Friday, May 1st. We are asking all parents of Kindergarten - 6th Grade, who are interested in volunteering to join us at 6:00 pm in the Titus Dining Room on Wednesday, January 14th, for our first meeting. We will provide you with an overview of the day, brainstorm ideas among grade levels, and answer any questions that you may have. If you are interested in volunteering on Friday, May 1st, but cannot make the meeting on January 14th, please sign up with the corresponding grade levels by clicking here.
Thank you in advance for your dedication to making this day a success!

Secret Shop . . .
The 2014 Secret Shop is fast approaching! Secret Shop will be held on Wednesday, December 10 and Thursday, December 11, 2014. The Secret Shop provides an opportunity for the children to purchase inexpensive “secret gifts” for the entire family. A large selection will be available on the Moms, Dads, Kids, Hanukah, and Pets tables. The shop will also feature Grandparent, Aunt and Uncle items. Gifts vary in price from 50 cents to $5.
Students will visit the Secret Shop for 30 minutes with their class during the school day. This is a special day that is set up to be a unique and educational shopping experience for the children. Every effort will be made to evenly distribute the items for each grade and class to ensure a similar selection.
