Meat Demon's Charges
Meat Demon and his gang are charged with plaguing the US meat industry. Debris of all sorts were being scooped up and sold in the tainted meat. Inspections were nonexistent. Workers had horrible hours and pay. Horrific, right?

However, thanks to Upton Sinclair's book, The Jungle, the issue was put in the spotlight. What was originally supposed to attack the nation's heart instead attacked its stomach. Its details were so gruesome, even Roosevelt himself couldn't stomach meat for a time
Super Tools Put an End to Meat Demon's Chaos
As part of his Square Deal program, along with influence from The Jungle, Rampant Reformer passed the Meat Inspection Act and the Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906. They required frequent inspections and improved conditions for both meat processing and workers.
