Killing Killer Rain

My Summary Of What's Being Done

New technology are helping the environment by reducing acid rain. Power plants produce electricity that we use... But these power plants produce large amounts of acid rain each day. Congress passed a law called the Clean Air Act Amendments Of 1990. (It states that the EPA should start a acid rain program that helps reduce acid rain.) Scientists have found different ways to help get rid of acid rain. Option one, Use coal that contains little amount of sulfur. Option two, "wash" the coal to remove some of the sulfur on the coal. Option three, produced energy without fossil fuel. Some examples are solar and wind power. Renewable energy reduces pollution. Cars and trucks also produce pollution too. Car manufacturers reduce the amount of nitrogen oxides released by cars.
