Gingerbread Express 2021
For families looking for a little help this holiday season. Please view this important information:
This form is ONLY to be completed by a parent or legal guardian. The deadline to complete the form is Monday, December 6th (the earlier the better), so we can get our "secret elves" to shop.
All names and contact information will remain confidential. The only people who can see the information is our Gingerbread Express Coordinator. Once we have the names, staff members who participate will get an anonymous slip of paper with no student/parent information. The supplies then get brought to the school and our Gingerbread Express Coordinator will organize the gifts to distribute.
Gift pick-up will be at Hope Valley School on Tuesday, December 21st during school hours. Please call the school when you arrive and someone will either deliver to your car or meet you outside the main front door.
So, if you are in need of some assistance, click on the link below and complete the form.
Vaccination Clinic
As you know, last Friday we hosted a 5-11 vaccination clinic at Chariho Regional Middle School. The next clinic, for students to receive their second dose, will be on December 3, 2021, at Chariho Regional Middle School starting at 3 pm. You can register using this link:
As a reminder, students who are vaccinated and who are asymptomatic will not need to quarantine if they become a close contact per RIDOH guidance.
Per the state, the registration window for this clinic will close on December 2, 2021.

Also, a big thank you to Sam Seibert, master gardener extraordinaire, for her time and for imparting her wisdom.
Collection COVID Testing Event
We have a collection PCR screening event every Wednesday. Only those families who opted their child in can participate. If you have not opted in yet, you can still sign your child up (see information below). We will begin testing as early as 8:00 am if families want to drop off their child to school early. They would go to the library door to buzz in, and they will be escorted to the nurse's clinic. Once they are done they will go to the gym and wait for the school day to start. If you cannot get your child in before school, we can get them tested once they get to school. Again, only those that have opted in will get tested. The actual test will be a very simple, painless, and quick swap of both nostrils. We have trained staff that will assist with the swabbing. If you have any questions, please call the school.
Here is the information regarding the program and how to register:
Our district has chosen to participate in Operation Expanded Testing, a program supported and
funded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to provide COVID-19 PCR
testing to K-12 schools at no cost to the school. Participation in this program helps schools stay safer against the risk of COVID-19. This program will help keep students in the classroom and prevent the spread of COVID-19 via weekly testing for students and staff. Four staff members which includes myself and Nurse Tara have been trained.
To opt into the program, please visit the following site: Link to register child for testing
The registration process takes less than 5 minutes. For a short video guide on “how to” complete the registration/consent, activate your child’s online account to view results: View Video Here
