We had an opportunity to show our APPRECIATION to our amazing counseling duo, Ms. Glaze and Ms. Tracy, during National School Counselor's Week.

Last week, in honor of Black History Month, students were engaged in an amazing learning opportunity about the History of Black Opera. Ms. Jihanna Davis gave us a great lesson on how history continues to be made by African-Americans in the Opera Houses across our country. She shared her journey as a classical performer and even helped us put on a production of our own.

Winter & Spring Lexia Challenge

Rockledge Eagles continue to grow as stronger readers everyday. We are challenging ourselves to even greater heights. As a school community, we will be monitoring our Lexia Unit completion. Our goal is to complete at least 8,000 units a month. Already in the first two weeks of the challenge, we have completed over 7,000 units.

Continue to support your young readers at home by providing them time to complete some of their Lexia learning. Please encourage them to be independent.

Other ways to continue to build strong readers is to read with or to your child for at least 20 minutes a day.

Thank you for your continued support!

Rockledge PTA Updates

Rockledge BoosterThon

Rockledge Elementary School Families!

Our Rockledge Eagle Indoor Glow Run Fundraiser kicked off this week, and we are thrilled about this year’s program!

This year, our entire school is raising funds for new and improved Sensory and Activity Pathways indoors and outdoors, as well as enhancements to the Outdoor Classroom! Our goal is to raise $7,500, and we’re inviting YOU to help!

Be sure to ask your child about the Sports City Worldwide Character Lesson of the Day! It’s a fitness theme all about inspiring students to be active and activate their character. Students will travel the world learning how to live and play with character from REAL kid-athletes.

Register your student, then click the SHARE BUTTON. It’s extremely easy on mybooster.com and takes 30 secs. Your student will receive rewards just for you sharing. It’s a win-win!

Thank you for supporting our school! We can’t wait for the Rockledge Eagles Indoor Glow Run that is happening Next Week!

Sincerely, RKES PTA Boosterthon Team
