Update your PowerSchool information

The EIPS Correction and Verification Form is now available online through your PowerSchool Parent Portal. Use the form to access and update your child’s records information—including address, parent and guardian information, emergency contacts and medical information. Reviewing the form and submitting updates ensures the school has the most up-to-date information regarding your child.

When reviewing the form, pay close attention to all listed phone numbers, email addresses and emergency contact information. Also, if you recently moved, now is the time to ensure the Division has your updated address. Throughout the year, the Division and school uses the listed information to communicate with families about important information, including updates, the latest news and event. For more information about the PowerSchool Correction and Verification Form, contact the school. Review and update the form by Sept. 22, 2022.

Student Services- Wellness with Aley & Elli

Practicing Self Care and Mindfulness is super important for our mental health and success in school. By practicing self care and mindfulness activities, you are learning how to manage stress, worries and anxiety. Each week we will provide you with a mindfulness activity to try on your own or with your family! To learn more about mindfulness, selfcare or to access support please reach out to our Success Coach Aley Kulbaba or our School Counsellor Elli Hansen.

Mindfulness Activity:

Set a timer for 10 minutes. Lie on your back and widen your awareness to include your whole body and your breath. Notice where you're feeling tense. Invite the tension to release by softening. Notice your breathing. How is your breath affecting your body?

Raye, J. A year of mindfulness.

Experiences Canada Career Choices

As youth prepare for life after high school, it can be overwhelming to search for career information and navigate between the many resources that are available to support youth. Our Career choices program aims to create online resources to support youth in planning for post-secondary – whether that is continuing in school, or venturing out to the workplace. The virtual series will cover a broad range of possibilities, both traditional and non-traditional, reflecting the diversity of opportunities in the marketplace. https://experiencescanada.ca/career-choices/

Student Attendance

Although attendance notifications are not tracked in PowerSchool, we recommend students be on site at one of our three campus locations 12-15 hours per week where possible.

We do require students to sign in or check in upon arrival and sign out when leaving the campus. This process is required as part of our Emergency Readiness planning at each site.

Hours of Operation

Students & families can access our campus during the following times:

Monday 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Tuesday 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Wednesday 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Thursday 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Friday 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Download the SchoolMessenger App

Next Step Outreach and the Division use the SchoolMessenger platform for communicating with families—through both phone and email. Be sure to add communications@eips.ca and nextstep@eips.ca to your safe sender list to avoid having important messages funneled into your junk mail folder.

The easiest way to stay connected is to download the SchoolMessenger app. Get the latest updates direct to your mobile device and enable push notifications to never miss a message. Families can also check back on past messages—for up to 30 days—directly in the app rather than searching to find an old message buried in your inbox. Download the SchoolMessenger app from the App Store or Google Play today.
