KP Class News
December Fun!
Holidays Around the World
KP has had an exciting month of traveling the world in our imaginary airplane to learn about different December Celebrations. Your child will be bringing home his or her passport with stamps from the different countries we visited. Please ask your child about the custom or celebration that we learned about in each place.
St. Nicholas Day-December 6th
Here are some pictures from our "visit" to Russia on St. Nicholas Day. We left our shoes outside and St. Nicholas came! He left all of the children notepads in their shoes.
Guest Scientist
Thank you Mr. Anderson for teaching us about electromagnetics! The students had a blast!
5th Grade Buddies
We loved making reindeer with our 5th grade buddies!
Sight Word Rings
Please continue to practice sight words with your child. They should be coming home with new words on their ring 1-2 times per week. Please remember to keep the ring in their backpack or folder so that they have it in school when it's time to practice. It's so exciting to see the progress that the students are making already!
We are running out of index cards. Please send a pack or two of cards in with your child at your earliest convenience. Thank you in advance!
Extra Math
You should see a notice in your child's folder today about xtra math. This is a website that your child can use to challenge themselves and to practice math facts. This website is completely optional, but I hope that you will check it out!
Thank you!
Thank you all for a wonderful holiday party! I hope you and your families have a lovely holiday together and I look forward to seeing you in 2015!
