ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE DAYS OF MAY 7-MAY 10 (not including Friday, May 11th), 2018
TA & OFFICE STAFF KUDOS: We have the best TAs and Office Staff in the world. In light of all the absences and shortages of folks to cover they have stepped up to become lead teachers, specialists and anything needed to make things work. Please share a big thank you to our essential colleagues for all that they do.
PRIMARY ELECTION: A Primary Election will be held at our school on Tuesday, May 8 in the cafeteria. Please plan to eat in your classrooms or if weather permits outside. Mr. Ward will bring trash bags to your room Tuesday morning.
EOG TRAINING: EOGs are just around the corner. 3-5 teachers, specialists, SpEd staff, EXCEPT CCK & Pre-K TAs, Administration and Office staff should plan to attend the Wednesday, May 9 training session at 7:45 in the Media Center.
4/5 BOOK CLOSET/PUMS LAB: Have you seen the recently cleaned out and cleaned up 4/5 Book Closet and PUMS LAB? Thanks to Kayla Perry, Lara Fricke, Henry Ward and our after school cleaner Jose for making the areas functional after MANY years of dysfunction. As we add a classroom or two next year please consolidate items in your classrooms and determine as a grade level what common features you need so that if your grade level has to do any room rotations next year.
STAFF MEETING: Staff Meeting will meet at 7:45 this Thursday. PTA will be treating us to a staff appreciation breakfast.
TRACK 3 IN DUTIES: Duties for May 11th will be emailed this early this week.
CHEMICALS: We recently had an inspection, and this was what we were told to correct. This means things like lysol wetwipes, air fresheners and liquid soap. We will work to come around and "document" items such as liquid soap, but please put wetwipes etc... up in the cabinets and do not leave them out on desks or tables. Only adults should use any items that have to be stored in cabinets. If you do not have verification sheets that you can use chemicals in your classroom that are not issued to you by the County, you have to keep them OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
