Principal's Bulletin
Week 10: October 25-29, 2021
A Message from Mrs. Zagala
I hope that you and your families are doing well, as always this bulletin contains a lot of very important information and I ask that you take a few minutes to review it carefully. We had another great week at Allen Elementary and it is hard to believe that we have completed the first nine weeks of learning and that report cards were sent home on Friday. I encourage you to review your child’s report carefully and if you have any questions about your child’s academic process, please contact your child’s teacher.
We are looking forward to a fun-filled Red Ribbon Week for the Week of October 25-29th. Your students are invited to participate in the theme days for this coming week. On Friday, October 29th all students are invited to wear their costumes to school and participate in our Character Parade at 2:00. Parents and visitors are also invited to join us for the parade. All visitors will need to obtain a visitors pass so we encourage you to arrive at least a few minutes early. Visitors will need a driver's license or state issued ID to get their pass. For everyone’s safety, no visitors will be allowed without a visitors pass. To help you obtain your pass a little faster on Friday we encourage you to fill out the form in this week’s Bulletin.
Our students celebrated all of their hard work during the first nine weeks of school with SFA Fun Day and our first Reading Event. Students learned about the Spectacled Owl, Bearded Dragon, Brazilian Armadillo, and the Monkey Tailed Lizard. I encourage you to check in with your child and ask about their experience during the Barn Hill Preserve Animal Presentation.
Finally, I ask for your assistance with after school dismissal. We have so many wonderful families that live on Dumont who have been impacted by our dismissal. They respectfully ask that we be good neighbors and do not block their driveways as you are waiting on Dumont to enter our parking lot. We want these families to be able to enter and exit their driveways safely during our dismissal.
Thank you for all you do and for all of your support. I look forward to another great week at Allen Elementary!
Eagles Rock!
