Principal's Newsletter
From the Desk of Ms. Clark
January 24, 2019
Dear Parents,
The theme for National Catholic Schools Week 2019 is "Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.” This theme encompasses the core products and values that can be found in our school each day. We teach our students to become future servant leaders, faith-filled disciples and enriched citizens in our communities. Our SKD theme is “A Splash of Color” which reflects our school’s distinction for our National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
It is known that SKD School works hard to provide strong emphasis on academic excellence, faith development, and commitment to service. We are committed to educating the whole child while living the Gospel values each day. You will have an opportunity to see those characteristics in action during our Catholic Schools Week events. I hope you and your family will join us. Please bring your friends and neighbors, particularly those who may be thinking about Catholic education for their children.
When you visit our school, I am sure you will be as proud of our students as we are. What helps make their accomplishments possible is the dedication and commitment of our pastors, teachers, staff, parents, and volunteers. I am thankful every day, but I want to make a point -- at this special time of the year for Catholic schools – of personally extending my deepest appreciation to everyone who makes our school a success.
As we approach this special week, “May Christ dwell in our hearts through faith and joy and may charity be the root and foundation of our lives.”
God’s blessings,
Ms. Clark
