Saturday night fun
Looking for something exciting to do this Saturday night? Join us for a great night and a fabulous fundraiser. Madison's 2nd annual trivia night is still taking reservations. This adults-only event will raise thousands of dollars for the PTA and fund important items like field trips and school assemblies. You, your family and friends are all welcome. You can request to sit with a specific Madison family or to be placed at a grade level table.
Don't forget the "I love the 80's" theme. Dress up or come as you are. The American Legion does not allow patrons to bring any beverages into the venue-they must be purchased there. However, this event is BYOF (Bring your own food) so feel free to coordinate with your table mates. To make your reservation, please contact the trivia committee at trivianight@madisonschoolpta.org.
Donate wine for Trivia Night
THERE IS ONLY 24 HOURS LEFT TO DONATE a bottle of wine for the Wine Pull Fundraiser. Please consider helping! Your donation of a bottle of red or white wine valued at $20 or more is tax deductible and proceeds from this event fund all the amazing programs the PTA sponsors. We have received some great bottles of wine so far, but could use a few more. All donations can be dropped off at Kristin Olson’s house (1221 S. Gables Blvd) or Becca Hary’s house (112 Danada Dr.) by noon tomorrow.

Great job Madison students and teachers! You ran 1,047 miles, which is approximately the distance from here to Orlando, FL.

A shout out to all the Madison families who held posters, ran, jumped into help when needed, and/or cheered on their runners. Thank you also to Dawn Draus, Gina Smethells, and Randy Wenger for taking great pictures during the event.
A special thank you goes to Tim Callahan and Joe Cortesi who helped plan and organize our Madison Run-a-thon schedule. Also thank you to all the teachers who helped cheer on their students, run laps with their class, and let us rearrange their schedules for the day. We appreciate your support in making this event so successful.
We hope the students like the t-shirts that were given to them made possible by a generous donation from Weber Orthodontics.
Run-A-Thon pledges were due Tues., Sept. 22 but you can still turn them in if you forgot! Send them into your child’s teacher. All students who turn in a pledge sheet will receive a raffle ticket. Remember online donations are available for friends and family.
Art Appreciation seeks volunteers
We are looking for one or more parent volunteers to do Art Appreciation. It's a once-a-month commitment between October and May. The volunteer and the teacher schedule a time that is mutually convenient to teach a half hour lesson about an artist and a piece. The lessons are pre-planned and follow a set schedule. No art background is necessary, just a desire to help out in the classroom and be a creative with your child and his or her classmates.
The following classrooms are in need of volunteers:
Mrs. Summers: AM
Mrs. Emma
Mr. Grace
Mrs. Schroeder and Mrs. Gatlin could use additional volunteers as well.
Contact Louise Kirkman at louisekirkman@gmail.com to volunteer.
Help clean up Madison grounds
