Welcome back!

I hope everyone enjoyed the summer break and is prepared for the start of this new school year. We have some new volunteers in the Foundation groups and some familiar faces too and we can all look forward to making the coming year a success together! As we start the year we can also look back at some of the new things we’ve done recently – above and beyond all of the good programs we’ve already had in-place.

Be sure to stay tuned in at www.burltwpfoundation.org on a regular basis to hear about things like this and everything else going on with our groups throughout the year!

Thinking beyond today as we are planning for the future!

Over the past year, the family associations at each of the schools have been able to earmark funds for the various class years (“Class Accounts”) to the tune of more than $20K covering class years through 2027; this is in addition to the funding they provided for activities throughout the current year. With these funds set aside in advance, the daunting task of financing Project Graduation each year will become more and more manageable as we move down the road. Project Graduation is a very important program that provides our graduates a safe, alcohol- and drug-free celebration of their accomplishments, a fun time for the last day with all of their classmates together, and sends a message to them that they don’t need alcohol or drugs to have a good time. This is such an important program and message and we're proud that our groups are able to come together to help ensure its sustainability for future years.

Students Receive A Fully Stocked Backpack and a Great Boost of Confidence!

Falcon's Operation Backpack

Leading into this school year, the Foundation has partnered with the Burlington Township School District to continue a program of providing backpacks and school supplies to those who may not otherwise have them. We’ve termed the program Falcon’s Operation Backpack and had a small army of volunteers a couple weeks ago buying, sorting and organizing, and loading the backpacks so they were ready for delivery. This is sure to continue to make a difference in our community and another great program we want to support into the future. Please put the word out about this program throughout the school year as it never seems too soon to start collecting items and contributions for the next year.
