Periodic Table

Alkali Metals

These metals are on the left side of the periodic table. The elements that make them up are: Lithium(Li), Sodium(Na), Potassium(K), Rubidium(Rb), Cesium(Cs), and Francium(Fr
). Alkali metals are among the most reactive metals. The melting and boiling points are low points and are less dense than most elements.

Dense Much?

Alkali metals are less dense than most others. They each have one electron on their outer shell. This gives the elements the largest atomic radii. The lowness ionization energies make them metallic and high reactivities.

Hydrogen is in the area of the Alkali metals but does not act as one.
