Summary of Plot
Paul Braumer is a 19 year old soldier of Germany in WWI and he is stationed at the Western Front. He is accompanied by many friends in his desperation on the front. Though there is not always fear and pain, the war tries to destroy their young lives. It is all they can do to fight the enemy, and fight the urge to hate the enemy at the same time.
Why would you recomend this book to others?
I would recommend this book to others because of many reasons. Though the story has a confusing plot that is hard to follow at some points, it tells a marvelous story. It is also beautifully written.
