Parent and Principals Coffee​
Afternoon TODAY--THIS WEDS. Nov. 11th


ASD ES cordially invites you to attend a Parent Coffee presentation TODAY with Kathy Collins. Ms. Collins is an active presenter at the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project (Columbia University) as well as a presenter at educational conferences all over the world. We are most fortunate to have her at ASD to support teachers in developing high-quality and effective literacy instruction. Please be a part of our learning community by attending the presentation on Wednesday, 11th of November from 2pm-3pm in the ES Presentation room.

​International Week T-Shirts​

​On Monday students brought home International Week T-Shirt order forms. Please fill out these forms and return them to your child's teacher by ​

​Tuesday November 17th. ​


Library Relocation

The Elementary Library will be moving temporarily to the rectangular portion of the Elementary School Cafeteria. Students will be able to check out double the amount of books for the next week and library classes will be held in students classrooms during this transition.The library will be operating on a smaller scale for the remainder of the school year. We thank you for your patience and understanding while our brand new library is being built.

New Dismissal Procedures


Starting Sunday Lower Elementary Students will be dismissed from the round portion of the elementary cafeteria. Please look for your child's classroom teacher and stand clear of the door ways so that students will be able to enter safely and quickly. Upper Elementary students will be dismissed outside of the cafeteria in the tree court yard. We ask that parents continue to walk around the outside of the buildings to get to the cafeteria.


PTA Latin Dinner Dance - Friday, November 20th 2015

The PTA folks are excited to host our annual dinner dance with this year's theme being a colorful and fun Latin night. Tickets for this event are QR350 per person.

For an even bigger discount on ticket prices, purchase a FULL table of 10 people by Monday, November 9th and you will receive your tickets

at a discounted price of QR300 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the main administration.

  • November 20 PTA Gala Dinner
  • November 24 Full Day of School – Regular Tuesday morning schedule
  • November 25 Thanksgiving Classroom Celebrations – 40 minutes (Also Miss V. and Ms. Madiha's birthdays on the same day Hee hee hee!)
  • November 25 End of Trimester 1 – 61 Days
  • November 26 Thanksgiving – No School
