Mrs. Parma's Pre-K Update
Week of October 10th - 14th
What we are Doing and Learning
This week we expanded on exploring our families, friends, and pets to include our community or neighborhood helpers, such as police officers, fire-fighters, doctors, teachers, postal workers, and much more! We discussed the roles they have in our communities and in our lives. We matched community helpers to the equipment they use, webbed out the different community helpers there are, and drew what community helper they want to be when they grow up! Our pretend center has become a community center with various dress up clothes representing fire-fighters, police officers, doctors, mail carriers, and construction workers. For our Fun Friday cooking activity, we made fire trucks out of graham crackers, mini oreos, cream cheese we colored red, and pretzels. Next week, the police officers with their police cars are coming to visit! How exciting!
