eME App - Grade 7-8 Financial Literacy APP
Building Financial Literacy Skills in a Digital World
E-Me is designed with a "choose your own adventure” game for players in grades 7-8. E-me addresses key topics linked to financial literacy and the Ontario curriculum including making healthy choices, consumer protection, avoiding scams and fraud, digital safety and citizenship, e-banking and privacy, and social media. Players will practice making choices in three virtual settings –home, school and in the community.
Players select an activity, play it and have the option to replay activities and change the choices they made. Players receive feedback on the various choices made and a summary screen at the end of each activity gives feedback on the financial literacy skills being developed. As activities are completed, mini games are unlocked that reinforce the learning. The app includes narration. It is available in both English and French.
