Alan Turing was an English mathematician and computer scientist. He was born in Maida Vale, London. He was a very clever man and built the first computer. He created the Turing machine in 1936 and di things that was too hard for a person to do. He was a homesuxual and back in those days it was illegal, he went to prison. In later life he ended his life by commiting suicide. He went to Camberidge University and was born in 1912 and died in 1954.
Alan Turing was an English mathematician and computer scientist. He was born in Maida Vale, London. He was a very clever man and built the first computer. He was also a key part in defeating the Germans in World War. In fact if he didn't brake the code in WW2, the war was expected to have lasted 2 more years. He helped in ww2 by breaking the enigma code, this was there special code which seemed impossible to break. Alan Turing then came up with a piece of technology to break it- the bomb.
This is Turing's most famous quote “We can only see a short distance ahead, but we can see plenty there that needs to be done.”
The Enigma Machine
This was the machine that Alan Turing was able to decode in the second world war. It had over 6 million millin million possibilities which made it be very hard to decode.
