A Message from the LSL Pontooners: 2016 Parade of Boats
Greetings,
Please forward this invitation for a fun party on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, 2016 to your organization, family, and friends. The Parade starts at 3:00pm. Boat decorating is optional but American flags are encouraged.
All registered boats are encouraged to join the parade that will form at the Rue Grand Marina (Main Marina) on Lake Saint Louis. At 3:00pm the LSL Water Patrol boat, followed by the VFW pontoon boat will lead two (2) side-by-side lines of boats toward I-64. The line closest to land, just outside the no-wake buoys, will be led by the LSL Fire Protection District's red runabout which will be followed by Wayne and Bonnie Walkenhorst’s pontoon.
When passing in review at Windjammer Pointe form a single line. The Water Patrol line, will go first. The Fire Protection line will go toward the dam to provide necessary separation and then join the line. After passing the pavilion boats should stay in the area for the Blessing. The Reverend Paul Brauner will provide the Blessing for a safe boating season.
After the Blessing a long siren will sound indicating it is time for participants to sound their boat horns.
All are welcome to enjoy the beauty of the parade and receive the Blessing by driving or coming by boat to Windjammer Pointe. The car gate will be open.
We wish you a fun, happy and safe boating season on our beautiful lakes.
